ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Thijs. A down to earth Dutchman who loves heavy workouts and strong ideas. Raised in the most beautiful city in the Netherlands (Groningen) and studied in its Scottish counterpart (Edinburgh).
I’ve got the skills to turn a thought into an idea, a sketch into a design and an insight into a campaign. I’m passionate about creating bold work that is beautifully clear, capturing the essence of a message with an eye for detail.
In ten years of working as an Art Director and Designer I’ve worked on projects in the sports, beverages, telecom, the public and health sector, for clients including the Scottish Government, The Famous Grouse, IRN-BRU and The Macallan.
In 2021, I graduated cum laude from the Creative Advertising MSc at the Edinburgh Napier University, and was named one of D&AD’s New Blood Ones to Watch. The jury of Young Dogs awarded me the title of Rising Star in 2025. My work has been featured in the Dutch national news, ESPN and my parents’ pin board.
